These Two of the seven national banks in Tyler are historically connected

Tyler National Bank --- Jester National Bank

"Tyler National Bank, located in the 100 block of West Ferguson Street, was finished in June 1892 by L. L. Jester. Name changes during the early years include Jester and Company in 1899, Jester National Bank in 1907, Jester Guaranty State Bank in 1922; Peoples Guaranty State Bank in 1914, when purchased by Sam Lindsey; Peoples State Bank in 1925, and finally Peoples National Bank in 1927. " (Reed, Robert E., Jr. 2009. Tyler, p. 89. Charleston, SC: Arcadia Publishing.)

Of all these banks, only three were chartered as National Banks.
