The First National Bank of Claude was chartered as 7123 in 1904 and continued printing money until 1935.
The census records twenty-four notes: one 1902 Date Back, three 1902 Plain Backs, seven 1929 Type 1's, and thirteen 1929 Type 2's.

This Plain Back sold at a Heritage auction in April, 2011 for $3,450.

"Claude, TX - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 624 The First NB Ch. # 7123
While small notes from this one bank community are rather easy to acquire, large examples from Armstrong County's only issuer remain excessively rare, with the census showing just one example. That piece, grading only Fine, has remained off the market since its lone appearance in CAA's November, 1992 St. Louis sale. Even the greatest of Texas collections, such as Philpott, Everson, Irish, Carter and Ivy have lacked a large note from this panhandle community. Fortunately for collectors, this lovely note, pen signed by the grandfather of the present consignor and held by the family for three generations, is now available to a new generation of collectors. It is a truly lovely piece which clearly never circulated, with crackling fresh white paper, a bold blue overprint, and signatures so fresh they could have been applied this morning ...."
