Temple Doswell Smith

(August 12, 1846 - April 24, 1926)

 

Although Temple D. Smith was active in East Texas,

he remained a resident of Fredericksburg and managed the Carthage bank from there.

In 1910, Smith & his family lived in Fredericksburg, Gillespie County,

and in 1920, they were still there.

By 1925, Smith and his wife were living in New York with his widowed daughter.

Smith died in San Antonio and was buried in Fredericksburg.

Since Smith died in 1926, it is J. W. Cooke who signs the 1929 notes as President.
