White Crowned Sparrow

Zonotrichia leucophrys

"Like its white-throated relative, the adult whiite-crowned sparrow displays a flashy black-and-white striped head, however, it lacks the contrasting white throat and the yellow spot between the bill and eye. The bill of the white-crown is pinkish; that of the white-throat is dark."

The bird above is an adult. The 1st year bird has a different coloration.
