The Jester National Bank of Tyler
Early 1930's
(http://jesssweeten.blogspot.com/p/lawrence-melton-author.html)
This is the same block of W. Ferguson.
It must now be the early 1930's. Note the model of cars and the dress length &
cloche
hat on the woman crossing the street.
The State Bank and Trust is now
a McClellan 5 & dime. Next door, there is a Tyler Guaranty State Bank. The Connally
store and the Adams hardware store are gone as well.
The last building before the 3-story one was probably the original
location of the Jester National Bank.
The sign on the 3-story building hints that the Swan Furniture
& Carpet Co. is no longer.
The seven-story building, at the
intersection of West Ferguson and Broadway, is the Citizens National
Bank.
