The Old Stone Fort of Nacogdoches

"Around 1779, Don Antonio Bil Y'Barbo, founder of Nacogdoches, built a stone house, the formal portal to the Spanish District of Texas. This bank, founded in 1903 was named after that historically important building which was torn down the year before. The stones were subsequently used in a structure at Stephen F. Austin University."
