The First National Bank of Malakoff (Charter #10403) opened June, 1913, and continued for the remainder of the National Bank period. It issued $108,640 in 1902 Date Backs & Plain Backs and in 1929 Type 1 notes.

The only known bank officer is
Henry Lewis Rogers
1889-1978

The National Bank Note Census records only four notes. An Uncirculated $10 Plain Back is in the Philpott-Moody Collection. The remainder consists of a 1902 $10 Date Back, a $10 Plain Back, and a $20 Plain Back. Only the $10 Plain Back has a recorded sale, once by Heritage Auctions in 1999 for $3,140 and then again in 2001 by Lyn Knight Auctions for $3,960. There are no images of the note.
