The Guaranty State Bank of Longview

"Guaranty State Bank, organized in 1912, was located in a brick building on the north side of the 800 block of East Methvin Street in the area known as The Junction. G. A. Bodenheim was Guaranty's first president. It was purchased by Mr. F. T. Rembert and associates on January 1, 1918. In 1919 it was moved to South Fredonia Street opposite of the Texas & Pacific downtown depot. Guaranty State Bank was nationalized and on July 14, 1923 its name was changed to Rembert National Bank. In May of 1931 it moved to the Everett building on the corner of Fredonia and Bank Streets (originally the home of Citizens National Bank)."
