Sachem Skipper
Atalopedes campestris
"Dingy brown below, the female
has an irregular, sharply angled band of square cream colored
spots on the hind wing. A similar pattern on the hindwing of
the male is less distinct because of the lighter, dingy yellow
ground color."
The Sachem Skipper contrasts with
the female Fiery Skipper
in not having a scattering of spots on the forward portion of
the hindwing.
