The 1900 Census

His mother, Cora Nelms Robb, is supporting the family as a "Merchant". This is striking because every other female in the census record has "None" entered in the Occupation column, unless the person is "N", in which case "Cook" and "Servant" are common.

R. R. Robb's older brother Sam is a farmer, Robb himself is an 18 year-old farm laborer. His next younger, 15 year-old, brother is a salesman. The two youngest brothers are "At School".

The 1910 Census

Robb is married and has become a Bank Cashier.

The 1930 Census

Now Robb is Vice President of the bank. He no longer signs notes. Z. F. Devine signs the 1929's as Cashier.

Robb has a nineteen year-old son.
He is 45 and owns a $10,000 home with no mortgage: the "O 10000" in the third & fourth columns.

The 1940 Census

Now Robb is 58. He is involved in banking and farming. He still owns the home, and his son has grown and left.
