Tiger Swallowtail

Papilio glaucus

"With its bright yellow wings crossed by black stripes, the butterfly is unmistakable ...Thus it appears that identification of the tiger swallowtail should be a simple matter. There is, however, a complicating factor: males are always yellow, but females may be either yellow or black."

The above is a female.

This is the male.
