Ocola Skipper
Panoquina ocola
"... it has distinct translucent
spots on the forewing, while the hindwing below is essentially
unmarked ... The unusually long forewing provides the best method
of identifying the dark brown ocola skipper in the field. At
rest, it pulls the forewing down so that it is partially concealed;
however, it still projects well beyond the hindwing. This characteristic
is reflected in the alternate name, 'long-winged sikipper.'"
When it opens its wings one sees
this pattern.
BugGuide has this example of a
Ocola Skipper.
