Gemmed Satyr

Cyllopsis gemma

"Plain brown above, the gemmed satyr lacks the eyespots on the underside of the hindwing that characterizes our other small satyrs. Instead, it has a marginal purple gray patch containing a smaller iridescent black area with silver highlights, the 'gem' from which the species takes its name."
