Dainty Sulphur

Nathalis iole

"So distinctive is this tiny sulphur that some taxonomists feel it should be accorded a separate subfamily of its own ... Occasional white or orange forms are rare. The underside of the forewing is yellow with black spots ... The dainty sulphur is a year round resident from Guatemala to Florida and the southwestern states, including Texas, where it inhabits dry, open areas such as weedy fields and sandy coastal areas."
