Wood Stork

Mycteria americana

"... the wood stork is a summer visitor to Texas, wandering northward in family groups or small flocks after the breeding season in the tropics ... The black trailing edges of the wings and the black tail contrast sharply with the white plumage. The massive beak is nearly ten inches long, thick and slightly downcurved."

These were headed south.
