Spotted Sandpiper

Actitis macularia

"Small, horizontally oriented, short-legged sandpiper that continuously bobs its rear while walking or standing ... Upper parts dark brown with sparse black barring, underparts bright white with dark spots, conspicuous white notch just in front of wing.
