Northern Waterthrush

Seiurus noveboracensis

Alsop (Birds of Texas, pp. 450-451) notes the "unstreaked white throat and chin" of the Louisiana Waterthrush and contrasts it with the "heavily streaked throat, upper breast, and sides" of the Northern Waterthrush. Peterson (Peterson Field Guide to Birds, p. 278) confirms the " throat striped" of the Northern Waterthrush, while the Louisiana Waterthrush "usually lacks stripes."
