Green-Winged Teal

"The male green-wing sports a dark green ear patch on his chesnut head ... The female is the usual drab and mottled brown, best recognized by her small size and by her associates."

Green-Winged Teal are much more skittish than Blue-Winged Teal. This photo was taken at a distance of about 100 yards.
