American Crow

Corvus brachyrhynchos

"The all-black, 18-inch American crow has a long, heavy bill, but it is still noticeably smaller than the massive bills of the ravens. The tail is fan-shaped in flight, in contrast wto the ravens' wedge-shaped tails."

A common year-round bird.
