Cedar Waxwing
Bombycilla cedorum
"The cedar waxwing is a dapper
seven- to eight-inch bird with a slender crest ... It is brown
above and lighter yellowish buff below. A black mask above the
beak and through the eyes adds to the rakish, debonair look, as
does the yellow band on the tip of the tail."
I saw no waxwings the winter of
2006-2007. There are more
the winter of 2007-2008.
