6 to 8 Oz. Beef for stirfry. Sprinkled with
salt & pepper.
4 or 5 Green onions. Cut into half-inch pieces.
4 Oz. Snow peas.
4 Oz. Shitake mushrooms. Remove the stems and cut the mushrooms
roughly.
1 Tbsp Minced fresh ginger.
4 Tbps Chopped cilantro.
3 Tbsp Hoisin Sauce.
1 Tbsp Sesame oil.
2 Tbsp Chile-Garlic Sauce.
1 Tsp Five Spice Powder.
Directions:
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add the
ginger and mushrooms. Cook until the mushrooms are tender.
Add the beef. Cook until the meat is pink.
Add the snow peas and most of the onions and cilantro, saving
the remainder of the onions & cilantro for garnish.
Add the hoisin sauce, sesame oil, chile-garlic sauce, five spice
powder.
Cook until the peas are crisp-tender.
Serve over jasmine rice.
Notes:
This recipe is from Bon Appetit,
October 2010. It is adjusted tor two servings.
It is a tasty recipe, worth trying, although shitake mushrooms
can be expensive.
I used chile sauce and spicey-garlic sauce in place of chile-garlic
sauce.
