The State National Bank, Marshall,
Texas
This building at 164 E. Austin,
Marshall, TX, may have been the State National Bank.
Although The State National Bank was a late chartered bank in
April, 1925, it does not appear in the FDIC webpage and there
is no address for it.
The pesent building has no identifying marks.
However,
If one looks from the west at the top side of the building.
I suggest that this is the State
National Bank of Marshall for these reasons: (1) This appears
to be a bank, (2) The other two National Banks have homes, (3)
The architecture of this building appears to match the 1926 charter
date, (4) It is in the same block as the Marshall National Bank
at 101 E. Austin Avenue, and (5) There is no other identifiable
home for The State National Bank of Marshall.
