State National Bank of Marshall

President

David Caven Driskell

(November 29, 1868 - May 15, 1951)

In the 1920 census, Driskell was identified as a "Lumberman" and a "Mill Owner"

Willis M. Thomas, who has married Driskell's daughter, is living with him and his wife. Willis is a bank Teller. We do not know which bank. In 1920, the national banks are The First National Bank & The Marshall National Bank. The State National Bank will not appear until 1925. Thomas will become the Cashier of that bank, replacing Richard J. Miller who dies in 1930.

By 1930, Driskell's youngest daughter, Merle, has married W. E. Lynch, a traveling salesman.
The couple and their son, plus four boarders are living with the Driskells
W. C. is appropriately identified as an "Operater" of a "Hotell".

By 1940, Driskell's wife has died, and he is living with his daughter and her family.
William Lynch now owns an ice plant.
The census finally recognizes Driskell as a Bank President.
