This is not the first time a bank
officer has lived in a town other than the one his bank was in.
B. R. Thomason, the Cashier of the
Citizens National Bank of Henderson, never lived in that town.
He was born in Gainesville. He lived there & he died and was
buried there.
Temple D. Smith, President of the
First National Bank of Carthage, never lived there.
He was a lifelong resident of Fredericksburg.
W. B. Jacobs, President of The Kilgore
National Bank, lived in Shreveport.
The fact that neither officer
was committed enough to live in Frankston
may explain why the bank only lasted three years.
