The TSA 102mm weighs 11lbs, and the tripod & mount about the same.
There has been some debate concerning the usefulness of larger eyepieces on scope with smaller aperture.
It seems to be personal preference. Pictured here is a 40mm Pentax with 80º field of view. The space visible through it is so great, that I often use it as a finder eyepiece as well as for viewing. Although it is heavy, there has been no problem in balancing the combination.
